PX Ornikill Avian Disinfectant (GC079)

For Guano Clearance

Makes 50 Litres Diluted

A specially formulated ornithological disinfectant for use in guano clearance. Dilute with water 1:50 and use it to spray over the guano to dampen it and avoid spores becoming airbourne. Effective at nutralising the many zoonoses, bacteria and organism that are found in gull & pigeon droppings and which can be harmful to humans.

Supplied in 1 litre bottles.

TECHNICAL DATA
Contains 1% Biguanide and QAC 5 - 8% w/v

This product is for use to control the disease organisms asociated with pigeons and other pest birds (including gulls, sparrows and starlings). It is intended for use by persons who might come into contact with birds' droppings, nesting materials, feathers or who might work in area where birds roost or nest. PX Ornikill will kill those bacteria, fungi, protozoa, rickettsiales and viral organisims identified as being associated with diseases transferred by pest birds to humans and animals. The formulation will kill the organisms responsible for ornithosis and psittacosis. It will help protect workers who are involved in clean-up operations to remove bird droppings.

USAGE
As a biocide on surfaces: Use a 1:50 dilution of the product in clean water and mop, wipe or spray over the surfaces using a 5 litre pneumatic (pump action) sprayer fitted with a flat fan nozzle. This soultion may be used on birds' landing, nesting or roosting areas as a preventive measure to protect workers operating on such surfaces.

Removing Bird Droppings: Use a 1:50 dilution of the product in clean water and spray over the droppings prior to the commencement of clean-up operations. During the digging-out operation spray the solution on to each fresh layer of droppings as it is exposed to keep down dust and kill organisms. Use a 1:10 dilution to treat dead birds, collected nests and other such materials.

TREATMENT OF CONTAMINATED MATERIALS

1) Use a 1:50 dilution to wipe over the outer surfaces of re-useable PPE eqipment e.g. gloves, boots and to treat outer surfaces of spray tanks.

2) Use a 1:50 dilution to treat implements e.g. shovels, chutes and bins.

3) Treatment of sub surfaces. At the end of clean-up operations, treat newly exposed sub-surfaces with a 1:50 dilution of PX Ornikill.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Wear gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate
DO NOT mix with other chemicals
Wash skin and eye splashes with fresh clean water.
Harmful to aquatic life. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with the chemical or the used container.
